Rose B. Moran Mitchell

POPLAR - Rose Bernice Mitchell, 79, a longtime Poplar resident, died Friday April 5, at the Poplar Community Hospital of natural causes.
Rosary was held April 9, Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Services were held Wednesday, April 11, at the church, with burial in Poplar City Cemetery.
She was born April 26, 1911, at Williston, N.D., to Louis and Mary Moran. She grew up in the Fort Buford, N.D., area and moved to Poplar in 1931.
She married Theodore R. Mitchell at Wolf Point on Feb. 17, 1931. He died in 1974.
Except for five years in the Seattle area during World War II, she has lived in Poplar since moving there in 1931.
Survivors include sons, Ted R. Mitchell of Anniston, Ala., William R. Mitchell of Tac-oma. Wash., and Robert D. Mitchell of Poplar; daughters, Lucy Mitchell of Lacy, Wash., and Mary Alice Martin of Tyler, Texas; 27 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Rose married Theodore Roosevelt Mitchell, son of Daniel E. Ma-To-Na-Pa "Bear Paw" Mitchell and Louisa or Lula Wa ya wa wi yan Garfield, on 14 Feb 1931 in Wolf Point, Montana. (Theodore Roosevelt Mitchell was born on 24 Aug 1905 and died on 19 Nov 1974 in Poplar, Roosevelt County.). The cause of his death was Cancer.
