HANK MITCHELL Henry 'Hank' D. Mitchell was known for his skills in carpentry and painting, and enjoyed fishing, rodeos and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion and the Poplar Volunteer Fire Department. He worked as a barber for the past 20 years at the Fort Lewis army base in Washington. Mr. Mitchell, 43, died last Monday of massive hemorrhage in Tacoma General Hospital. He was born in Poplar, a son of Ted and Rose Mitchell. He grew up in Poplar and joined the Air Force in 1963. After his discharge he attended barber college in Pasadena Calif. In 1966, he married Judy Archambeau and they moved to Tacoma. They later returned to Poplar for a brief time and he worked for the Fort Peck Tribes. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Tomi Rae Schwarzrock, of Kalispell, and Henrietta Mitchell and Darla Cantrell, both of Tacoma: two sons, Rob Mitchell of Tacoma and Russell Cantrell of Poplar; his mother of Wolf Point; two sisters, Lucy Mitchell of Wolf Point, and Mary Alice Martin of Tyler Texas; three brothers, Theodore of Weaver, Ala., William Roy of Greenfield, Mo., and Robert of Poplar; and five grandchildren. Rosary was said at 7p.m Sunday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplar, Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in the Church with burial in Poplar City Ce-metary. Military Rites were performed by Legion Post 5^. Clayton Memorial Chapel was in charge.
