DARLENE T SMITH Darlene T. Smith, 25, of Missoula and formerly of Poplar, was the Kyi-Yo Indian Club Conference Coordinator at Missoula and was Vice Chairman of the Missoula Indian Alcohol and Trug Services. She died Saturday night when she was accidentally struck by a car driven by her husband on a county road four and a half miles southeast of Ronan near the Kicking Job Coips School. Mrs. Smith was walking between her sister-in-law's and her mother-in-law's homes when the mishap occurred. Born In Poplar, the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Theodore R. Mitchell, she married Merle E . Smith in Poplar in 1971 . She graduated from the University of Montana at Missoula this spring with o degree in Business Education and was to begin teaching ot Kicking Horse this fall.
Survivors include her husband and two daughters, Kelly Rose ond TeraTheresa oil of Missoula; her mother, Mrs. Rose Mitchell of Poplar; four brothers, Theodore of Webb, Ala., William of Tocomo, Wash,, Henry of Puyolh p, Wash., and Robert of Poplar; and two sisters, Mary Alice Martin ot Tyler, Texas and Lucy Buckles of Poplar.
The Rcsory was recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Poplc. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church A-ith burial In Poplar City
Cemetery, Clavton Memorial Chapel has charge of arrangements.
