Cause of her death was Accident. General Notes: DARLENE T SMITH Darlene T. Smith, 25, of Missoula and formerly of Poplar, was the Kyi-Yo Indian Club Conference Coordinator at Missoula and was Vice Chairman of the Missoula Indian Alcohol and Trug Services. She died Saturday night when she was accidentally struck by a car driven by her husband on a county road four and a half miles southeast of Ronan near the Kicking Job Coips School. Mrs. Smith was walking between her sister-in-law's and her mother-in-law's homes when the mishap occurred. Born In Poplar, the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Theodore R. Mitchell, she married Merle E . Smith in Poplar in 1971 . She graduated from the University of Montana at Missoula this spring with o degree in Business Education and was to begin teaching ot Kicking Horse this fall.
