1st Lt. Frederick D. Mitchell Jr.
Served with the U.S.Army during the Vietnam war. Beloved son of Lillian & Frederick Sr. Mitchell (Father was a WW1 veteran) Frederick died in Carson City NV in Aug. of 2003 at the age of 61.

Frederic Daniel Mitchell, Jr., 60, passed away at his home on August 19, 2003.

He was born in Shurz, Nevada on November 19, 1942 to Frederic and Lillian (Murphy) Mitchell. Frederic was born and raised in Nevada moving to Colorado and then returning to the Reno/Sparks area where he retired from the State of Nevada Department of Transportation as an equipment manager. Frederic also served his country in the United States Army and was also a Grand Master of Demolay in the Carson City area and a proud member of the Walker River Piaute Tribe.

His parents precede Frederic in death. He is survived by his daughter, Jenifer Mitchell of Portland, Oregon, sisters; Freda Mitchell of Sacramento, CA, Rosemary Clark of Fernley, Nevada, and Iyla Mae Rodriguez of San Francisco, CA., great-uncles; Jack Williams, Clarence Williams and Everett Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service is schedule for Frederic on Friday, August 22, 2003, 11:30am at O'Brien, Rogers and Crosby, 600 West Second Street, Reno; with interment following at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, Nevada. Arrangements are entrusted to Walton Funeral Home, 875 West Second Street, Reno, NV.

Frederic will always be remembered as a very, very generous man. He will be missed terribly by his family and friends.
