Fallon - Funeral services in Schurz for Mrs. Christine LOFLAND of Fallon will be at 2:00 p.m. today.
The body of the 20 year old was found in a half submerged automobile Monday after it apparently veered into a drainage ditch about six miles South of here on U.S. 95.
Mrs. LOFLAND, wife of U.S. Marine Corporal Dale L. LOFLAND had lived in Schurz until three months ago when she came to Fallon.
She was born 14 Jan 1941 in Gardnerville. Her husband is currently stationed in El Toro, CA.
Besides her husband she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Helen WILLIAMS of Schurz; sisters, Mrs. Betty FLINT and Irene SMOKEY, both of Oakland, CA and Darlene SMOKEY of Schurz; brothers, Willis and Darrell SMOKEY, both of Schurz and Fritz SMOKEY of Oakland.
The Rev. B.V. Bradshaw, pastor emeritus will officiate at the last rites, to be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Schurz Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Stewart Indian Cemetery in Stewart, NV.
