Ora Lee Lundy Boykin 1952-2004
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28 at the Walker Community Building in Coleville for longtime Eastern Sierra resident Ora Lee Lundy Boykin. Graveside services will follow at a later date.
Born on Sept. 23, 1952 in Schurz, Nev., she died Oct. 25, 2004 at Washoe Medical Center in Reno, Nev. She was 52.
Ora attended Carson High school and went on to Job Corps in Salem, Ore. She also attended Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute in Santa Fe, N.M. as a certified food service worker.
Ora was a member of the Paiute Tribe of the Bridgeport Indian Colony.
She was a homemaker and was noted for her cooking and good sense of humor. Guests always had a warm welcome to her home. Ora enjoyed arts and crafts and the outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Emily Sam Lundy o flee Vining, and father Eli Lundy of Bridgeport.
Ora is survived by her husband, Michael Boykin of Coleville; son, Austin of Coleville; sister, Janice Lundy Mendez of Coleville' brother, David Lundy of Riverside; nieces Nioka Lundy of Elko, Nev. and Emily and Amber Mendez of Coleville; and nephews, Jerrett Mendez of Coleville and Eli and David Lundy, Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.
