B-1 John Sneed b. 2 Feb. 1755; d. 21 Dec. 1855; m. 10 Nov. 1784, Sarah Johnson, dau. of James & Mildred (Mims) of Goochland Co., VA. He was private secretary to Thomas Jefferson, a volunteer in the expedition against the Cherokee Indians, a soldier in the Rev. War, a friend of Daniel Boone. [He removed to Danville, Kentucky in 1805. ]
