Sarah M Headdress (obit from the Poplar Shopper March 1, 1984)

Wolf Point - Sarah M. Headdress enjoyed making star quilts and attending Indian celebrations. Mrs. Headdress, 83, died Thursday in Poplar Community Hospital. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Born in Wolf Point, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Mitchell, she married Henry Headdress on June 16, 1916, in Poplar; he died in 1974. Survivors inlcude a son, Dale of Wolf Point; a daughter Mrs. Henrietta Johnson of Kelso, WA; 18 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Services will be 10 am Monday in Clayton Memorial Chapel, Wolf Point, with burial in Chicken Hill Cemetery.

Sarah married Henry Duane Headdress, son of Owl Headdress and Living, on 16 May 1916 in Poplar, Montana Roosevelt County. (Henry Duane Headdress was born on 19 Mar 1888, died on 13 Aug 1974 and was buried on 16 Aug 1974 in Chicken Hill Cemetery.)
